Alice Viola Martens

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Alice Viola Martens in Kitchener, Ontario, on October 11, 2026. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Eugene Brubacher and Ida Brubacher, as well as her siblings, Ruth, Audrey, Wilma, Reta, Dorothy, Kathleen, and James. She is survived by her husband, David; her children, John Martens (Dawn) and Joy Gleeson (Rob); her grandchildren, Bethany Moelker (Scott), Deanna Oliver (Nathaniel), Miriam Martens (Karl Armstrong), and Daniel Martens (Rachael Liness); and her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Callista, Peter, Monica, Julia, and Edwin. Visitation took place on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, located at 171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. As an expression of sympathy, the family appreciates condolences or donations to Mennonite Central Committee, the House of Friendship, or a charity of your choice.
