Michael CARMODY

Michael Carmody passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 70, after a lengthy battle with complications from chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. He is survived by his wife Christine, sons Aidan and Joseph, siblings Heather, Catherine, Patrick, Miriam, and Peter, and nieces and nephew Sarah, Matthew, and Erika. Michael was also close to his friends Kerry, Tim, Mark, Roger, and Dan. Predeceased by his parents Archie and Norah, and sister Maureen, Michael grew up in Pembroke, Ontario, and later made Kitchener-Waterloo his home. A passionate software developer and devoted foodie, Michael will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. As per his wishes, there will be no funeral service, and cremation has taken place.
