Grace DA SILVA

Grace da Silva passed away peacefully at Highview Residences in Kitchener-Waterloo on July 16, 2026, at the age of 67. She was the beloved wife and friend of Michael Devoy, with whom she shared 34 years and 16 years of marriage. Grace was a devoted mother to Alex and Vera Kostiuk and stepmother to Sean Devoy. She is survived by her siblings, Dean da Silva, Elda Strome, Lisette da Silva, and Helena da Silva, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Grace was predeceased by her parents, Alfredo and Helena da Silva. A dedicated teacher and advocate for educators, Grace touched the lives of many students and colleagues. She enjoyed spending time at her cottages in Bayfield and Wasaga Beach and traveling, particularly to Portugal. Grace will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. A visitation will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre on July 23, 2026, followed by a service and cremation. Inurnment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date.
