Marilyn Margaret Marchand

Marilyn Margaret Marchand passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 91, with her son Vincent by her side. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret (Wightman) Stokes. Marilyn graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1957 from the Public General Hospital and dedicated over 40 years to nursing, primarily at St. Joseph's Hospital and Thamesview Lodge Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford Marchand, who predeceased her on November 24, 2023. Together, they raised five children: Michael, Dennis (Lisa), JP (Cindy), Vincent (Sue), and Anastasia (Christopher), and enjoyed a life filled with family and travel. Marilyn was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Myra (Keith) Lovell and was predeceased by her brothers Murray (Leona) and Gerald (Norma) Stokes. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Barb Phillips for her unwavering support and friendship.
