Gail SEDLAK

Gail Sedlak died peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Leamington Hospice, at the age of 85, five days before her 86th birthday. She is reunited with her husband, Mal Sedlak, who passed away in 2020. Gail is survived by her children Connie Hall, Ricky Fox and Robin Fox‑Nantais; her step‑children Mike Sedlak and Jeff Sedlak; grandchildren Aaron Hall, Timmy McKenzie, Michael Roy, Cory Connelly‑Fox, Tiffany Morly, Andrew Sedlak, Shawn Nantais, Jessica Nantais, Dustin Baltzer, Misty Baltzer and great‑niece Bree Breault; great‑grandchildren Ava, Daylia, Cayleigh, Madison, Logan (with another expected in January), Benjamin, Emily, Lily, Haley, Chase, Reece, Jack and Hunter; and great nephews and niece Lincoln, Rayland and Delilah. She is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and her cat Chloe. Gail was the second oldest of five children of the late Annie (d. 2012) and Richard Balkwill (d. 1990). She is survived by her younger brother Bill Balkwill and youngest sister Brenda Balkwill, and was predeceased by her oldest brother Gary Balkwill, younger sister Carol Vincent, and brother Corliss. A longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 188 in Kingsville and former Ladies Auxiliary volunteer, she also served as a Lioness in Kingsville and volunteered with the Salvation Army in Wallaceburg. Gail enjoyed watching and playing darts, particularly at the Reg Wilson Memorial Dart Tournament, and cherished the many friendships formed during her and Mal’s years at Campers Cove in Wheatley, where they participated in dances, campfires, feasts, bingo and euchre.
