Sister Annette Mary R.H.S.J. VALADE
Sister Annette Mary R.H.S.J. Valade passed away peacefully at the Sisters of Providence Motherhouse in Kingston, Ontario, on July 30, 2026, at the age of 104. Born in St. Raphael's West, Ontario, she was the daughter of Catherine Billard and Stephen Valade. Sister Annette dedicated 80 years to Religious Life and was predeceased by her parents and her siblings: brothers Mathias, Albert, Victor, Wilfred, Raymond, Rheal, and Lionel, as well as sisters Rita, Leona, and Germaine. She is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Throughout her remarkable life, Sister Valade served in Nursing, Pastoral Services, and Congregation Administration in Cornwall, St. Catharines, and Kingston. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Mary, Mother of Compassion Chapel, Sisters of Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess Street, Kingston, ON, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Rite of Committal in St. Mary's Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
