Matthew Richard Cumpson

Matthew Richard Cumpson of Kingston, Ontario, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 33. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Heather Cumpson; his sibling, Drew Cumpson; his girlfriend, Jenna Perry; his child, Barrett Andrew; his stepchildren, Charlee and Tyson; and his grandmothers, Helen Cameron and Anne Cumpson. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, followed by a reception from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The family requests donations to the University Hospital Kingston Foundation and to Spinal Cord Injury Canada.
