Jacob Hofstee

Jacob Hofstee of Kingston, Ontario, died on August 7, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Adriaantje Hofstee, and his brother Anthonie. He is survived by his wife, Lorelle "Lorie" Bell; his children, Kristin (married to Sebastian Ohm) and Kevin (married to Jennifer Gerber); his grandchildren, Dexter, Valerie, Jordan, Penelope and Alexandra; his brothers, John (surviving his late partner Beatrix) and Arie (surviving his late partner Jeanne); his sister‑in‑law Sharon Bell (married to Neal Thomas); his nephew William; his niece Catherine Bell; and his close friend Maurice Hebert. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Glenburnie United Church, 1028 Unity Road, Glenburnie, Ontario. A memorial service followed at 11:00 a.m., visitation at 12:00 p.m., and a graveside service at 1:45 p.m. at Cataraqui Cemetery, 927 Purdy's Mill Road, Kingston. Contributions in Jacob’s memory may be directed to Glenburnie United Church or to the UHKF Hematology Department at KGH.
