Evelyn Violet Winters

Evelyn Violet Winters, aged 93, passed away on August 18, 2026, at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston, Ontario, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in 1933, Evelyn grew up on a farm at Mosquito Lake, where she was one of 14 siblings. She later married and was the proud mother of one daughter. Evelyn was known for her love of the outdoors and her zest for life. She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her 14 siblings, and her beloved dogs. Evelyn is survived by her companion Gary, her daughter Caroline (Tom), two grandchildren Heather (Trevor) and Jeff (Dinah), five great-grandchildren Tyler, Sydney, Owen, Troy, and Melissa, as well as one great-great-grandson. A viewing will be held at James Reid Funeral Home on August 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the exceptional staff at Rideaucrest Home for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
