Barbara Ann SMITH

Barbara Ann Smith, born in Canterbury, England on August 14, 1942, passed away on August 22, 2026, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Anthony 'Tony' Michael Smith, who predeceased her on June 30, 2003. Throughout her life, Barbara and Tony traveled extensively, living in England and Australia before settling in Canada, where they resided in Sarnia and Kingston, ultimately making Sydenham their home. A passionate genealogist, Barbara was also a talented seamstress, quilter, and knitter, known for her lovingly crafted baby sweaters. She is survived by her children, Mark Smith, Carl Smith (Trudy), and Karen Smith, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Colton, Eileen, and Alec Smith. The family expresses gratitude to the compassionate PSWs and health team who supported her at home, and the staff at Providence Continuing Care for their care in her final weeks. Cremation has taken place.
