Angelina Maria "Jean" McKEOWN-PIITZ
Angelina Maria (Jean) McKeown-Piitz, passed peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the age of 97, with her family by her side. Born on June 5, 1928, in Britt, Ontario, to the late Joseph Biasucci and Rosa (DeLonghi) Biasucci, Jean was an accomplished artist, well-known in the Parry Sound area and beyond for her oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings. She was married to the late James (Jim) McKeown in 1948, and after his passing in 1989, she married Frederick Piitz. Jean was predeceased by her first born, Betty, her sisters Elda (Pietrobon) and Ada (McLaren), and her husbands James McKeown and Frederick Piitz. She is survived by her children Ann Vernelli and Dan McKeown, her sister Theresa (Poulton) of Burlington, son-in-law Jim Vernelli, daughter-in-law Marjorie Sim, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A funeral celebration of her life will be held in Parry Sound later in the year.
