Gerald Wade Makinen, born on February 1, 1949, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Evelyn, and his brother Larry. Gerald is survived by his sister-in-law Bonnie, nieces Tiffany (Wayne) and Chantry (Brandon), and nephew Bjorn (Tracey), along with many cousins and six great-nieces and great-nephews. His life was filled with connections and experiences that left a lasting impression on those who knew him. The memories of laughter and support he provided will be cherished by family and friends alike. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
