Charles William Herbert Gill
The family of Charles William Herbert Gill of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, announces his passing on October 7, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on August 29, 1937, Charles is remembered by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was predeceased by his parents, Herb Gill and Marjorie Gill, as well as his former wife, Rosalie Wotton. Charles is survived by his wife, Jane Gregory-Gill; his sons, Donald, Paul (Debbie), and David (Julie); and his grandchildren, Matthew Gill (Lindsey), Cameron Gill, Ryan Skalko, Adam Skalko (Joanna), Cassandra Gill, Steven Gill (Christine), Jeffrey Gill (May), Kevin Gill (Maryah), and Patrick Gill (Breanna). He also leaves behind his brother, Barry (Debra); his in-laws, Barb Barta (Jack), Earl Wotton (Barb), Mary Keenan, Anne Austin (Richard), Laura Gregory, and Michael Gregory (Kelly); his great-grandchildren, Noah, Reese, Samantha, Arya, Charlie, and Isabelle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Stephen, Ben, Edward, Greg, Julie, Amanda, Laura, Josee, Jane, Jeff, John, Stephanie, and Mark. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Celebrations, located at 35 Lindsay St N, Lindsay, ON K9V1T3. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oak Ridges Hospice, Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, Operation Smile Canada, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #135 in Beaverton, or the Alzheimer Society of Kawartha Lakes in memory of Bill.
