Derek O'Neill LITTLE

Derek O'Neil Little passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by his wife and children. Born and raised in St. Catharines, Derek later moved to Jordan where he raised his family with his wife Bernie. He was a dedicated man who served his family and community, retiring from General Motors after 35 years and dedicating 38 years as a part-time firefighter with the Town of Lincoln - Jordan Fire Station #4. Derek enjoyed part-time vineyard farming, woodworking, and driving a school bus. He took great pride in his lawn, vegetable, and flower gardens and was an avid animal lover. Derek will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bernie, children Kelly, Tracey, and Mike, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many extended family members. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne, Mary, Brian, Thea, Vern, and Pam, along with many nieces and nephews. Derek was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Margaret, parents-in-law Leonard and Kathleen, brothers Douglas and Bruce, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Leona and Wayne. The family thanks Dr. R. Ireland and palliative care nurses Jennifer and Melissa for their care. A Celebration of Derek's Life will be held on July 26, 2026, at Jordan Fire Station, followed by a time of fellowship. Donations in memory of Derek are gratefully accepted.
