Guillaume Ronald Freypons (Gui (Poppa))

Guillaume Ronald Freypons (Gui, Poppa) passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Lambert) for 56 years, and father to Michael Freypons (Erica) and Robin Humby (Bryon). Guillaume is survived by his brother, Christopher (Susan), and his niece and nephews. He was a beloved Grandfather of six: Emily (Spencer), Madeline (Brody), Elizabeth, Logan, Allison, and was predeceased by his grandson Matthew. Guillaume was a Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police Officer for 31 years, retiring in 1998 as a Detective Sergeant. A Celebration of Life will be held later to remember Guillaume. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alexandra Hospital Foundation, VON Southwest Partners (Woodstock), and Ingersoll Service for Seniors (Assisted Living Program). The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Staff and Administration of Alexandra Hospital for their exceptional care of Guillaume, especially for the care and dignity afforded him in his final weeks.
