William Vernon Hewitt

William Vernon Hewitt, a resident of Huntsville, Ontario, passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on September 28, 1936, William was a beloved husband to Shirley and a devoted father to his children, Darin Hewitt (Barb) and Janice Podovinikoff. He took great pride in his grandchildren, Erika Spencer (Adam), David Podovinikoff (Emily), and Evan Podovinikoff (Kyle), as well as his great-grandchildren, Owen and Austin Spencer. William's life was marked by the warmth and kindness he shared with family, friends, and colleagues. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
