BEATRICE LOUISE SNYDER
Beatrice Louise Snyder (nee Stefanowich) passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 82, at the Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge, Ontario. She was the beloved spouse of Burpee Snyder (Burt) and mother of Bruce Snyder (Nuvia) of McKellar and Colette Snyder of Toronto, and grandmother of Riley and Callum MacDonald. Born in Toronto on September 25, 1943, Beatrice was the second of six children born to William and Regina Stefanowich (nee Belanger). She is survived by her older sister, Rita, and younger brothers, Guy and Kenneth. Beatrice was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Richard. She married Burt on September 30, 1961, and together they lived in Toronto, Georgetown, Caledon, New Germany, Nova Scotia, and Baysville. In addition to being a wife and mother, Beatrice worked as a secretary at Economy Forms Corporation and Neilson Dairy. She had a strong Roman Catholic faith and was a regular churchgoer. Beatrice enjoyed sewing, knitting machines, camping, and dogs. Her family would like to thank the staff at The Pines Long Term Care Home for the love and care provided to their mother. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 12 Centre Street North, Huntsville, Ontario, with a reception to follow. Memorial donations to The Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge or the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka would be greatly appreciated.
