James "Doug" MACDONALD

James 'Doug' Macdonald passed peacefully with family by his side on March 12, 2026, at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of Betty for 73 years. Doug was a loving father of Cliff (Jean), Deborah (Paul), and Mark (Laura). He was a proud grandfather of Kara (Ryan), Stacey (Milic), Grant (Joel), Sarah (Chris), Meghan (Chris), Caitlyn (Brant), and Abby (Mark), and a great-grandfather of 10 great-grandchildren. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Findley and Isabel, and siblings, Connie, Marion, and Findley. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church Glanford, 2869 Upper James St., Mt. Hope. A Masonic Service will be held in the church at 10:30 a.m. prior to the Memorial Service. The family would like to thank the VON staff who helped care for Doug at home, and the staff of the Stedman Community Hospice for their compassionate care.
