Born on August 15, 1928, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by love, family, and countless contributions to those around her. On October 6, 1951, Lucile married John Aubrey McLean in New Castle, Pennsylvania. John, originally from New Brunswick, Canada, had relocated to Pennsylvania for work. Together they raised five children. In 1965, the family moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, where they settled on Harvard Avenue. Their youngest child was born there in 1967. John predeceased Lucile in 1989. Lucile is survived by her five children and their families: John McLean and his wife Valerie Scott, along with their children Scott and Meredith; Scott McLean and his children John and Michael; Marian Lamoureux and her husband Louis Lamoureux, along with their children Melanie, Carl, and the late Paul; Carl McLean and his wife Doreen McLean, along with their son Mark; and Murray McLean and his wife Susan McLean, along with their children Ben and Megan. She was a devoted grandmother to ten grandchildren. Lucile was an accomplished bridge player who achieved the rank of Life Master in Duplicate Bridge and generously taught many others the game. She also found great satisfaction as a substitute high school teacher. In her leisure time, she loved watching horse racing and playing craps at the casino. For the last fifteen years of her life, Lucile lived with her daughter, Marian, and son-in-law, Louis, in Hinsdale, Illinois, where she was lovingly cared for by family. Lucile will be cremated, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
