Velma ZIZZO

Velma Zizzo passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on February 14, 1930, she was the beloved wife of Frank for 72 years. She is survived by her loving children, John and his wife Andrea, and her cherished grandchildren, Adam and Laura, Alex and Olivia, and Kathleen. Velma was also a great-grandmother to Sadie and Jude, and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, particularly Carol and her husband Peter Dalla Riva, Joe and his wife Mary Bartolacci, and Gilda Savelli. Predeceased by her sisters Tina and Olga, Velma lived in Burlington and Aldershot for over 65 years. She was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Church and the Catholic Women's League, and actively supported the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Aldershot Tennis Club. In her later years, she worked part-time at the Oyster Woman's Boutique in Burlington. Velma and her husband Frank cherished their winters in Siesta Key, Florida, where they spent time on the beach and playing tennis with family and friends. Services are entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington are appreciated by the family.
