It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sonia Bistas of Hamilton, Ontario. Sonia was born on June 27, 1939, and she passed away on October 15, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Evangelos Bistas, and her sister, Pota. Sonia is survived by her sons, Bill (Popi) and Gus (Mia); her grandchildren, Angelo (Karlyle), Demetri (Leya), Evan, and Ambros; her great-grandchild, Berkley; and her sibling, Venetia. Visitation took place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, located at 233 E 15th St, Hamilton, ON L9A4G1. A funeral service followed at 11:00 AM at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sonia's memory may be made to Bob Kemp Hospice.
