Roy Downes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Downes, who departed this life on September 24, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on June 4, 1932, in Hamilton, Ontario, Roy is remembered for his warmth and thoughtfulness, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Hilda. Roy is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Daniel) and Michelle, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Jordana (Malcolm) and Amanda (Frank). He also leaves behind his significant other, Beverly Rose. A celebration of Roy's life will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, located at 90 Garner Rd E, Ancaster, ON L9G3K9. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated.
