Peter Briggs SIMPSON

Peter Briggs Simpson passed away peacefully at Macassa Lodge on August 6, 2026, at the age of 102. He was a charismatic individual who delighted in hosting friends and family, sharing stories of his life, including his childhood on Alpine Avenue and his retirement travels with his wife Helen. Peter graduated from McMaster University in 1947 with a Master of Science in Chemistry and went on to manage one of Procter & Gamble's largest labs in North America. He married Helen in 1948, and they raised five children together. Peter is survived by his children Chris, Sylvia, Holly, and Peter, as well as six grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, son Glen, and brother Richard. A celebration of life will be held at Crestmount Funeral Home on October 4th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
