Mr Yvon Harvey BAIRD

Yvon Baird, a master craftsman and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 73, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 28, 1953, Yvon was a respected independent contractor in the Hamilton community, known for building not just structures but also lasting relationships. His attention to detail, strong work ethic, and infectious laughter endeared him to clients and colleagues alike. Yvon's greatest pride was his family, which he cherished alongside his loving wife, Chris. He is survived by his children, Jan (Janine), Dana (Sam), Vickie (Robert), and Bill (Liz), as well as his grandchildren, David and William, and a wide circle of friends and clients. A celebration of his life will be held on September 17 at the Hamilton Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church, with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to McMaster Children's Hospital.
