Mechelien (Schiltman) Hemmechien McKee

The family announces the passing of Mechelien (Schiltman) Hemmechien McKee in Hamilton, Ontario, on September 7, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on May 30, 1936, Mechelien was a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Bill and her daughter Linda Bryans. Mechelien is survived by her daughters, Sheila Crewson (Mark) of Cambridge and Lisa Cuthbert (Chris) of Hamilton, as well as her son-in-law Douglas Bryans (Janet) of Penetanguishene. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember her fondly. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laidlaw United Church, located at 155 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H3Z2. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laidlaw Memorial United Church Memorial Fund in her memory.
