Mary Dora (Sheppard) Tompkins
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Dora (Sheppard) Tompkins in Hamilton, Ontario. Born on April 11, 1936, she passed away on October 16, 2026. Mary Dora was predeceased by her parents, Walter Sheppard and Helen Sheppard; her siblings, Anne, Helen, and Donald; and her husband, Kevin Tompkins. She is survived by her brothers, Frank, Alan, and Ross; her children, Joanne (Alan), Susan Hudson (Craig), Sean (Cindy), and Clare (Scott); and her grandchildren, Myles Hudson, James Hudson (Ellie MacGarry), Evan Hudson, Teagan West, Tasmin West, and Rhys Hudson. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, located at 796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, located at 620 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W1B3. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dress for Success would be greatly appreciated by the family.
