Mario Zecchini

Mario Zecchini passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 92. Born on September 9, 1933, in Spilimbergo, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, he was the son of Gemma Lenarduzzi and Olinto Zecchini. Mario is survived by his brother Elio and was predeceased by his brothers Derino, Ivano, and Sergio. He is also survived by his wife, Maxine Morris-Zecchini, his children Carla and Marc, his stepdaughters Carla and Kelly, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A successful builder and co-founder of Zecchini Brothers Construction, Mario contributed to communities in Aldershot, Burlington, Hamilton West Mountain, and Ancaster from 1960 to 1985. Visitation will be held at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home in Ancaster, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann Parish and a Celebration of Life at The Venetian Club in Hamilton.
