Marilyn Jeanne HINDS (née McLeod)

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marilyn Jeanne Hinds (née McLeod) on March 12, 2026, at Idlewyld Manor in Hamilton, at the age of 86. Born in Chipman, New Brunswick, Marilyn's Maritime roots were a source of warmth throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jeffrey (Delaney) Hinds (Denis Moreau) of Ottawa, and her daughter, Dr. Janet Hinds of Mississauga. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Wesley V. Hinds, her brother, William McLeod, and her nephew, Darrin McLeod. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary McLeod, and nieces Crystal (Dr. Troy Pinsonneault) and Colleen McLeod, along with their families in British Columbia, and Donald and Marlene Shirley in New Brunswick. An active member of the United Church, Marilyn contributed as an Elder and through various community activities. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place at Cresmount Funeral Home, with private arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lung Association or St. Andrew's United Church.
