Marie Madeleine VÉRONIQUE BOURGOIS

Madeleine Bourgois passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Alcide Bourgois and a devoted mother to the late Denise Wikis (the late Thomas), Lorraine Potticary (Terrance), and Marilyn Harrison (Kenneth). Madeleine will be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren: Michel LaPointe, Marsha LaPointe (Stephane Paulin), Samantha LaPointe-Cyr (Mario Cyr), Jennifer Harrison, Jason Harrison, and Jeffrey Harrison (Amy), as well as her eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Zoel and Albina Gauthier, and her sister, the late Gertrude Landry (the late Alzear). Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 20 Idlewood Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Regina Gardens Long-Term Care (Mohawk Trail Wing) for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Madeleine over the past eight years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeleine's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
