It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marianna "Mary" Galka on July 29, 2026, at Juravinski Hospital, at the age of 80. She was predeceased by her husband, Jozef "Joe" Galka. Mary is survived by her daughter, Sophia (Wayne), her granddaughter, Carlie, and her grandson, Darek. A dedicated volunteer at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for over 25 years, Mary also enjoyed tending to her garden and vegetable patch each summer. Her love for travel took her on adventures every winter, and she had a special fondness for cats. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Salvation Army Mountain Citadel, 835 Stonechurch Rd. E, Hamilton, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m.
