Margaret Louise "Peggy", (née O'Brien) WHYTE

Margaret Louise Whyte, known as Aunt Peggy, was born on May 19, 1923, to Elizabeth and Edward O'Brien. She married John P. Whyte in July 1958. A graduate of St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto in 1943, she taught physical education in Hamilton. Her lifelong involvement in community activities included curling at the Hamilton Thistle Club, Zumba, cross‑country skiing, golf, and ballroom dancing, and she founded a weekly dancing class for local couples. She was baptized at St. Patrick's Church and remained an active parishioner. Margaret Louise Whyte passed away at her home on August 15, 2026, at the age of 103.
