Manuel Da Rocha SOUSA

Manuel Da Rocha Sousa passed away on May 10, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital, at the age of 87. Born on July 13, 1938, in Maia, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was the loving husband of Lucia Sousa. Manuel was the beloved father of Edith Marion (Bill), Elizabeth Lester (Dave), and Michael Sousa (Emily), and a doting Vavô to Samantha (Joe), Nicholas (Brianne), Madison, Nathan, Nicole, Kaitlyn, and a great grandfather to Levi. He was predeceased by his parents, Jose De Sousa and Maria Do Carmo Rocha, and his siblings, the late Adelino Sousa, late Erena (late Jose Pacheco), late Maria De Lourdes Cabral (late John), late Natalia Araujo (Carlos). Manuel is survived by his sister, Maria Do Rozario Araujo (Edemundo), and brother, Jose Sousa (Conceicao), as well as many nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbours. He proudly worked at Intermetco for several years until his retirement. Manuel will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
