Lucia (née Memmolo) VECCHI
Lucia (née Memmolo) Vecchi passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on March 7, 2026, in her 96th year, at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Vecchi. Lucia was a loving and devoted mother of Angelo (AnnMarie) Vecchi, Rose (the late Nick) Battista (Dan Salciccioli), and Lily (the late Vojko) Pesa. She was a cherished and adoring Nonna to Lisa (Dave), Julie (Billy), Mark (Loren), Melanie (Luca), Niko, and Lukas, and a proud Bisnonna to Anthony, Dylan, Sabrina, Elena, Liam, Sienna, Tiago, Gianni, and Giulia. Lucia is survived by her sisters-in-law, Concetta Memmolo and Filomena Memmolo. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings and in-laws, Domenico Memmolo, Luigi and Teresa Memmolo, Mario and Rosina Memmolo, Genesio and Maria Rosina Memmolo, Pietro and Rosa Memmolo, Fedele Memmolo, and Anna and Paulo Bozzo. Lucia will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends in Canada and Italy. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Villa Italia and to the compassionate staff at St. Peter's Hospital, Lincoln Terrace, for their exceptional care and kindness. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, where family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, March 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In kindness, donations to the Dementia-Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
