Lolita Palmares WILLASCHEK

Lolita Palmares Willaschek passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Egon Willaschek for 50 years, a loving mother to Inocencia Willaschek and her husband Philip Lam, and a proud and devoted Oma to Victoria Lam and Tristan Lam. Lolita will be dearly missed by her brother, Inocentes Palmares Jr. and his wife Marilou Palmares, and her sister, Selfa Bedia and her husband Sixto Bedia, as well as by her extended family and many friends in Canada and the Philippines. Lolita began her career as a midwife in the Philippines and later worked as a Registered Nurse at Riverdale Hospital and Women's College Hospital in Toronto, and at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton. A devoted Catholic, Lolita was a member of the Catholic Women's League of Canada and an active parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Hamilton. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Online condolences may be shared at cresmountfennellchapel.com.
