Joyce Elizabeth Verhoog (McKenzie) passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 87. Born in 1938 in the Eastern Townships in Quebec, Joyce married the late Arie Verhoog and lived the greater part of her life in Hamilton, Ontario. She will be deeply missed by her son Vincent (Sue), stepson Martin (Ron), grandchildren Meghan and Phillip, her extended family, and her many friends. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Extendicare-Hamilton for their compassionate care and support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the M.A Clarke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Joyce requests that a donation be made to the Hamilton SPCA.
