John VanAmerongen

John VanAmerongen, born on January 29, 1942, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Margriet, and a large family including his children Denise, Kenn Hughes, Yvonne, Derek Burke, Zacc, Winnie Burke, Ezra, Levi, Luca, Brianna, Sam Overgaauw, Olivia, Emma, Luke McQuarrie, Rosie, Carson, Jacob Burke, John, Brenda Van Amerongen, Austin, Brittany Van Amerongen, Kapri, Haven, Knoxx, Ethan Van Amerongen, Marcel Van Amerongen, Jade Neilson, and Jeremy Van Amerongen. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane Stroop and Anna Piper (Charlie). Visitation took place on August 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hamilton. A funeral service was held on August 29, 2026, at 11:30 AM, followed by a graveside service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Calvin Christian School in Hamilton.
