John Philip KERWIN
John Philip Kerwin passed away peacefully at the Juravinsky Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 90. He was cremated in accordance with his wishes. John is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Margaret; his daughter, Lee Ann; his son, Greg; and his brother-in-law, Ernest Glatz. He was predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Marie Kerwin, and his parents-in-law, Marie and John Glatz. John started his career as a bricklayer for James Robinson Construction before transitioning to automotive sales at McLeod Motors and concluding his career at Fairview Motors, where he was greatly respected throughout the car industry. He enjoyed playing golf, was a passionate fan of the Tiger-Cats, and spent time in Myrtle Beach during the spring and fall. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and PSWs in the E1 wing, as well as the physical therapy and recreational teams at Macassa Lodge, for their compassion and dedication to John's needs. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Trinity Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As per John's wishes, there will be no visitation, but a celebration of life may be held by the family at a future date.
