John Michael Melko

John Michael Melko passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 93, at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton. He is survived by his cherished wife of 68 years, Joan, and his children Ginny, Joanne, Paul, Dave, and Mike. John is also survived by his grandchildren Ben, Kate, Bethany, Laura, Matthew, Julia, Angela, Daniel, Fiona, Christopher, Sidney, and David, as well as his great-grandchildren Mayzie, Bria, Logan, Elsie, Alec, Silas, Cecilia, Kian, and Maeve. He is predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary Melko, his parents-in-law, Mike and Mary Zywine, his siblings Betty and Andy Melko, and his brother-in-law George Zywine. A private gathering will take place as per John's wishes. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring teams on E4 at the Juravinski Hospital and W4 at St. Peter's Hospital for their compassionate care.
