Jerry Tvrdy

Jerry Tvrdy passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 7, 2026, at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis for 65 years. Jerry was a loving and much-loved father of Lynda (Rob), Marsha (Brent), and Brenda, and he was cherished by his 4 loving grandchildren, Elia, Jessica, Emily (Sean), and Cody. He is survived by his sister, Rose. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Miroslav and Alzbeta, and his siblings, Olga and Annie. He will also be missed by his extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Friday, March 13th, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund and the Red Cross.
