Ivan BENCETIC

Ivan Bencetic peacefully passed away on March 27, 2026, in his 71st year, surrounded by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Josip and Marija. Ivan will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 46 years, Marica; his daughters, Anna and Christina; and his cherished granddaughter, Emily. He is also dearly missed by his extended family, in-laws, kumovi, and friends in both Canada and Draganić, Croatia, as well as his former coworkers at Dofasco. Visitation will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31st from 5 - 9 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 1st at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In memory of Ivan, donations to Holy Cross Croatian Parish or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
