Isobel Jean Rankin

Isobel Jean Rankin, known throughout her life as Jean, died peacefully at home in Hamilton, Ontario, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on December 17, 1934, to James Maxton Rankin and Anne Donald Rankin, née Parish, in Stratton, England, Jean was predeceased by her parents and by her brother, Bruce Rankin. She is survived by her children. Jean spent her life pursuing various passions, including art, animation, and psychotherapy, and will be remembered for her empathy, steadiness, and deep respect for the lives of others.
