Giovanni Alaimo passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Rosaria Alaimo, and his brothers, Luciano Alaimo and Antonio Alaimo. Giovanni is survived by his sisters, Maria Saieva and Rosa Mendola, and his nieces and nephews, including Vince Saieva, Angelo Saieva, Carmelo Saieva, Antonella MacLeod, Sarah Kelly, Chuck Mendola, Roselle Massare, and Carrie Mendola. Born in Racalmuto, Sicily, Giovanni immigrated to Canada in 1963 and worked at Arcelor-Mittal Dofasco for 31 years. The family is grateful for the care provided by the medical team at St. Joseph's Villa. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL on July 21, 2026, followed by a Funeral Mass at All Souls Church.
