Born on March 24, 1947, Gilbert was a beloved husband to Beatrice and a devoted father to Rodney (Karen) and Andrea (Richard). He cherished his role as a grandfather to Brock (Angela), Kirsten (Trevor), Bryce (Sam), Alyson, Andrew, and Aleah, and as a great-grandfather to Sophia, Annie, Hazel, Nevaeh, Beau, Brinley, and Mallory. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, located at 36 Lake Ave Dr, Stoney Creek, ON. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Victory International Church, 2799 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON. Gilbert will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
