George Gilbert StillaWay died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Hamilton General Hospital, aged 85. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, and by his sister Cathy St. John. Survivors include his children Steven and Loraine, and his brothers Bill of Calgary, Alberta, and Bob of Oshawa, Ontario. George began his career in 1963 with the Waterloo PUC Water Department and continued his service after it became part of the Region of Waterloo until retirement.
