Emily (Bodnar) Borsc

The family of Emily (Bodnar) Borsc announces her passing on August 29, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 74. Born on May 21, 1952, Emily was a cherished member of her community and shared many meaningful relationships throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; her parents, Steve and Vera; and her brother, Tom. Emily is survived by her sons, Brian (Kim) and Tom; her grandsons, Jeremy and Christopher; and her close friends, including Glenda Carter, Marlene Johns, Angie Talosi, Leona Cabaj, Sue Borsc, and Svetlana and Alex Wolfstein, along with extended family and friends. Visitation took place on September 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, with a funeral service held on September 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAPS), the Juravinski Cancer Center, or the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
