Dr. Gordon MURRAY

Dr. Gordon Murray passed away on July 17, 2026. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he later resided in Toronto, Ottawa, and Hamilton, Canada. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda, son Kevin, daughter-in-law Christine, and granddaughter Heather. Dr. Murray earned his PhD in Genetics from Trinity College, Dublin, and worked as a clinical researcher in the pharmaceutical industry. He enjoyed various hobbies, including swimming, camping, canoeing, classical music, and travelling. A devoted Christian, Dr. Murray also volunteered for medical missions trips, utilizing his HAM Radio skills. The family extends gratitude to the staff at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center for their care. A celebration of life will be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church on August 8, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer research.
