Douglas Martin Mc INNIS

Douglas Martin McInnis passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 71, at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton. He died peacefully after a brief illness. Douglas began his career as a Spectator delivery boy at 14 and later joined the Royal Canadian Navy, serving on H.M.C.S. STAR and other ships, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer, First Class, in Supply and Logistics. He received several proficiency awards, including the Queen's Jubilee Medal and the Ceremonial Decoration Medal. Douglas also worked at International Harvester and Canadian Tire Corporation Ltd. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he met in 1973 and married later that year. Funeral arrangements are being handled by L.G. Wallace Funeral Home.
