Barbara Ann HOLT

Barbara Ann Holt died peacefully in Hamilton on August 11, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born in Hamilton on February 4, 1937. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Howard Thomas Holt, who passed away in 2011. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Miller—whose husband Alisdair predeceased her—and Howard Holt, who is married to Margaret, as well as by her grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and Andrew Holt. Barbara spent more than 25 years working for Robinsons Department Stores and The Bay, and in retirement she enjoyed gardening, tending flowers, and sharing lunches with friends. The family expressed gratitude to the staff of the Hamilton General Hospital Emergency and Integrated Stroke Units for their care during her final week. Cremation has already been completed. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Brewer's Blackbird Kitchen and Brewery, 375 Wilson Street East, Ancaster, Ontario.
