Ana Manojlovich (nee Mirilovic)
Ana Manojlovich (nee Mirilovic) passed away peacefully at her home at the St. Joseph's Villa on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 88. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Petar; son, Vaso (Melissa); daughter, Snjezana; grandson, Michael (Catharine); and great-grandson, Andrew. Ana will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, Kumovi and their families. Born in Sjeverovac, Banija, Ana arrived in Canada in 1958 and settled in Hamilton, where she became an active member of the local Serbian community. She worked at the Hamilton Cotton Company, Del Monte Canning Factory, and ended her career at the McMaster University Hospital as a member of the cleaning staff. Ana was a lifelong member and past president of the St. Nicholas Circle of Serbian Sisters, as well as a member and past president of the Serbian Chetnik Sisters in Winona. The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses, and PSWs at the St. Joseph's Villa for their exceptional care, with special thanks to PSW Elizabeth for her extraordinary support and compassion. Family and friends will be received at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N., Hamilton on Tuesday, April 7th from 6 - 9 p.m., where a Pomen will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 153 Nash Road South, Hamilton, with the Very Rev. Father Djuro Samac officiating. Interment will follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, 735 Highway 8, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral or the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation.
