Alice Haynes

Alice Haynes passed away in Hamilton, Ontario, on October 3, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 16, 1946, she was surrounded by family, friends, and community throughout her life. Alice is survived by her husband, Robert James "Bob" Haynes; her daughters, Katherine Simpson (Eric), Susan Smith (Jeff), and Angie Weiler (R. J.); and her grandchildren, Laura, Peter, Luke, and Kate. She was the daughter of Benjamin McCallum and Olive McCallum and is also survived by her siblings, Marlene Kennedy (late George), Charlie McCallum (late Marg), and George "Buck" McCallum (Joanne), along with her nephew Nicholas and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, located at 160 Pine St, Collingwood, ON L9Y2N9, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County.
